I think this should be moved to WikiSpecies, i don't think we need for each tree a latin name explanation, that is wikipedia not to be used for--Lord Snoeckx 11:00, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me but do you know for which purposes Wikispecies is used? Which trees deserve to be listed in Wikipedia, which of them do not? Why do people open a title for each movie ever released? Then we should start moviepedia, albumpedia etc. I mean what is the criteria to be included in Wikipedia? Thanks. --Alperen 10:54, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

updates to reference 1

[edit]

I think the Langeland and Burks that's being referenced is 1998 (not 1999). It would be good to provide direct links to the reference (which is online), but I'm not sure how to do it (using the REF tags), because it's a bit complicated. Seems to me that we should cite it as:

Hosaka and Thistle, 1954 [Rhodomyrtus tomentosa] in Langeland and Burks, 1998

...with "Rhodomyrtus tomentosa" [a species-based section of the book] hyperlinked to http://www.fleppc.org/ID_book/rhodomyrtus%20tomentosa.pdf and "Langeland and Burks, 1998" hyperlinked to http://www.fleppc.org/ID_book.htm.

Can someone help (suggestions, syntax, etc.) with how (or whether) to do this?

Thanks!
