I think Rheochord is just an archaic name for Rheostat. Nuttall's definition is rather inaccurate and I prefer the one at Online Medical Dictionary Biscuittin 11:05, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

can't be

[edit]

"A Rheochord is a wire that can measure the resistance of an electric current, or the variability of the current."

This can't be correct, as current does not have resistance. Tabby (talk) 04:47, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Definition

The free dictionary defines rheochord as "A metallic wire used for regulating the resistance of a circuit, or varying the strength of an electric current, by inserting a greater or less length of it in the circuit."[1] That is different to the definition in the article. --Colapeninsula (talk) 17:50, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
