Florida version
[edit]I'm pretty sure that the florida version has a backwards part to it, am I wrong?
- A short one, yes. -- nae'blis 03:44, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]I added two infoboxes, because of the two distinct rides, but there is probably a better way to do it, so anyone want to fix it? Phydend 03:02, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Ride vehicle
[edit]There is what looks like patent for the ride vehicle here: [1]. Maybe someone could use this in the article. --blm07 21:43, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, the linked page no longer has any content. ihafez talk 04:16, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
Copyright problem with second image?
[edit]Sorry - didn't realise this is now essentially a disambiguation page. I'm moving the comment to the Revenge of the Mummy (Florida) article instead. Rmkf1982 | Talk 10:13, 7 April 2007 (UTC) - checked again and both the florida and california ride articles redirect to the same talk page so reinstating my previous comments Rmkf1982 | Talk 10:19, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
I've posted a question to the talk page of the second image - the one taking during the ride itself. It seems to me that a self-made licence tag for this image is incorrect, and that copyright belongs to the themepark who created the photo. Please see my question here. Say what?
[edit]WTF does "... where (LIM) speeds* push the mine car from 10 mph, to 60 mph..." mean? How do "speeds" push anything? What does the asterisk mean? What is "(LIM)"? ➥the Epopt 17:18, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Linear_induction_motor they are commonly used to magnetically push or slow a ride vehicle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.121.214.213 (talk) 19:13, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Merge?
[edit]If you look at similar rides such as Spiderman, Transformers, Simpsons, Terminator that have multiple locations they are all listed on the same page. I suggest we do the same for the Revenge of the Mummy ride. Anyone in favor or object? ihafez talk 02:05, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- We could merge it; however, I believe (based on the RCDB statistics) that all 3 rides are completely different. This makes it complicated for the infobox as well as the ride descriptions. I'm open to suggestions on how that could be tackled though. Themeparkgc Talk 03:53, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- I was thinking the general statistics that are the same should all be listed in the infobox (like type, manufacturer, launch system), while the info that is different (like speed, duration, and length) would be listed in a dedicated "Physical Layout" or maybe better named "Ride Layout" section. Unfortunately, I don't think the nice layout of Transformers: The Ride will be able to apply since the ride experience is different at each mummy ride. Sorry, had to give credit where it was due; you did a good job with your edits and improvements on that article. Back to Mummy, I was thinking we would have a general description, followed by a header with each park's name, then three subsequent subheaders: queue (with preshow), ride (with post show), and ride building (describing layout and ride stats).ihafez talk 04:13, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Here's a general description I was thinking of "Revenge of the Mummy is an enclosed steel roller coaster based upon the popular Mummy movie franchise directed by Stephen Sommers. The Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster uses Linear induction motors (LIM), a technology used to launch riders from a complete standstill. Each version of this roller coaster has a unique plot and track layout." ihafez talk 04:13, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

- I guess we could do it like that. I just don't want to have it send up a mess like the Jurassic Park article used to be. Can we sandbox it before putting it live, just so we know what it will be like? Oh, and thanks for your comments about Transformers. Themeparkgc Talk 05:03, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- I'll start working on that now on User:Ihafez/sandbox. Thanks, ihafez talk 14:13, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- I think this could work. I have began making some changes to the article in your sandbox. Hopefully we can get the history of the sandbox kept when it goes live. Themeparkgc Talk 04:24, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- The only thing I think we need to do now is minimise the duplication with "ride design" sections and the information above them. Themeparkgc Talk 05:26, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay, I'll get started first thing in the morning. I was originally trying to place all the duplicated content into the introductory paragraph(s). ihafez talk 06:31, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
- Comment i reviewed the article on WP:AFCP and accepted it into Revenge of the Mummy as the main contributors were the same as in this merge debate. Please let me know if this was wrong. Bjelleklang - talk 12:48, 2 December 2012 (UTC)

Ride nickname
[edit]I know that Universal Orlando team members, and tourists aka guests, refer to Revenge of the Mummy as the "Mummy Ride." Additionally the Orlando Sentinel and WESH published articles referring to the ride by the local slang name. I was wondering if it would be notable to mention the slang name or just leave it off. I don't mind either way, just thought it'd be an interesting tidbit for readers. Thanks, ihafez talk 04:13, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
- The Orlando Sentinel and WESH sources would've been better. I wouldn't be opposed if you restore it with those sources instead of the YouTube video. Themeparkgc Talk 04:21, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for the prompt reply! Will do. ihafez talk 04:27, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
Height show-building
[edit]There is the size of the area of the building, but not the height of the show-building. That should be added too. --79.224.71.207 (talk) 13:54, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
