[edit]Of her fierce selections (including a few designed by her mother). Ralph & Russo: "She is an inspirational performer and creative genius, and collaborating with her is always such a fantastic experience," said the duo. "We had so much fun designing these outfits made with hundreds of thousands of Swarovski crystals, all of which were created to provide her with truly unforgettable stage presence." http://www.essence.com/2012/05/29/beyonces-revel-concert-costumes/ Done
It was only five months ago that Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter. Last night’s show consisted of a two-hour set with “modern showgirl” inspired looks. Bey performed a multitude of her songs and paid tribute to Whitney Houston by singing “I Will Always Love You.” http://hellobeautiful.com/2521115/beyonce-covers-whitney-houston-at-comeback-concert/
Indeed, with all eyes and ears fixated on whether she still has “it” after giving birth back in January, the 30 year old delivered an emphatic answer on the opening night of her Revel resort residency. For, not only does she still possess “it” in abundance, she turned in a showing that re-affirms her position -love her or loathe her-as the greatest performer of this generation. http://thatgrapejuice.net/2012/05/business-beyonce-continues-rock-revel/
Who turned up to support Beyonce (as if she needed any help)? Appropriately enough, Michael K. Williams, the former star of "The Wire" who now co-stars on "Boardwalk Empire," singer Jennifer Hudson, New York Giant Deon Grant, "Prime Suspect" (RIP) star Maria Bello, and model Selita Ebanks, who apparently moonlights as a "Revel elevationist." Oh, and some lady named Michelle Obama and her daughters. http://www.nj.com/entertainment/celebrities/index.ssf/2012/05/beyonces_revel_yell_post-baby.html

Rap-Up.com: “Less than five months after giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé was back on stage for her first concert in nearly a year—and she didn’t disappoint….Following an opening set from Def Jam singer Luke James, B took the stage, showcasing new choreography, a new stage design, and new musical arrangements. Shimmering in a fringe dress, she kicked things off with “End of Time” before delving into her catalog of solo hits and Destiny’s Child classics, not missing a step as she performed against a giant LED wall with a full band and dancers including French duo Les Twins.” New York Times: “With her all-female band and 10 dancers, she performed with serious stamina and rigor; all that made it different from her stadium shows were stunts, staging tricks that couldn’t be pulled off in a 5,500-seat theater, and perhaps a few less costumes. ” USA Today: “The singer was all business — that is to say, warm and gracious, glamorous and relentless. Backed by an all-female band and a tireless posse of dancers and backup vocalists, Beyonce reasserted her unique pop persona; she was at once angel and seductress, cool diva and woman of the people. ” http://www.shallownation.com/2012/05/26/beyonce-atlantic-city-revel-ovation-hall-concert-set-list-reviews-photos-video-2012-memorial-day-weekend/

[edit]New mom Beyonce, who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January, knew there was no time to waste in slimming down as the May dates for her four-concert weekend in Atlantic City, NJ approached. Especially when the star would be squeezing her bod into custom-made Ralph & Russo designs, including a midriff-baring, fringed two-piece adorned with Swarovski crystals. “Y’all have no idea how hard I worked!” the 30-year-old exclaimed to her fans during her concert at Revel Beach’s Ovation Hall Saturday night. “I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!” And now that the superstar is halfway through her much-anticipated, post-baby concert return, she’s celebrating. “Now tonight I’m gonna get chocolate wasted!” Jay-Z’s wife told her fans. Saturday’s show proved to be quite the star-studded event: Michella Obama and her daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha, 10, were in attendance. (Back in April, Beyonce wrote a heartfelt, public letter to the First Lady in which she thanked her for being a “true, strong African American woman.”) “They sat up in a private balcony with Gayle King. Michelle was jamming out to ‘Crazy in Love,’” a concertgoer tells Us Weekly. “When Beyonce told the crowd to get up and jump, [Malia and Sasha] stood and started dancing and jumping. They were shouting when Beyonce asked, ‘Do girls run the world?’” “Together, all three of them did the ‘Single Ladies’ dance moves,” the concertgoer adds. http://ultimatebeyonce.com/wp2/2012/05/29/beyonce-celebrates-60-pound-weight-loss/ http://www.theboombox.com/2012/05/29/beyonce-60-pound-weight-loss/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.168.164.50 (talk) 12:10, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
