Is there a need for this article? Most of the stuff is already, or can be, in the Egyptian revolution article and the Hosni Mubarak article.
- I see no reason for having the two separate articles, for this one has no hope of being expanded and really belongs as a section in the main article. I too suggest merging as the best option, although since this is just repeat information then this article could simply be deleted. Weakopedia (talk) 05:14, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree that this should be merged; this article is not only redundant but rather poorly written. sonia♫ 00:16, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Should this article be merged back into Hosni Mubarak? Some of the information is background that the main article on the uprising covers, and I feel the rest would be better off in the main article. sonia♫ 06:39, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Those aspects dealing with Mubarak specifically should be in the main article about him while those dealing with the wider ramifications (the unsourced Muslim Brotherhood speculation, the reactions) are probably already covered in more detail on the articles about the revolution. The scope of the article is just too narrow. Gonfaloniere (talk) 00:44, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- RFC Comment: Yes, it should be a part of the Mubarak article. The reason it's separate now may be that it was a hugely covered recent event, but eventually it will fit in nicely in Mubarak's article and that devoted to the Egyptian Revolution. --Dailycare (talk) 18:55, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge. No reason for this to be a stand-alone article. Lara 20:34, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge. This article holds no inherent reason for being separated. Like Resignation of Richard Nixon, this should redirect into the main Mubarak article. Echtoran (talk) 14:50, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge. Doesn't warrant a separate article. The resignation itself was an anticlimactic footnote to events which are already covered in the 2011 Egyptian revolution article, and there is a "Revolution and resignation" section in Hosni Mubarak where any usable content from here can be merged. -- P.T. Aufrette (talk) 06:49, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge - ArnoldPlaton (talk) 10:12, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge - there may need to be separate article on a trial of Mubarak if that goes ahead, Tom B (talk) 10:28, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge. No reason for the article to be separate. —James (Talk • Contribs) • 10:45am • 00:45, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
