degrees

[edit]

doctor of Medicine is a graduate degree, thats why residency training is called postgraduate training, and premed school is undergrad. Hope that helps.Kushsinghmd (talk) 22:14, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Kushsinghmd, thank you for your contribution. However, I have reservation about your effort. Yes postgraduate degrees included MD and Master degrees. So an RA has normally a postgraduate degree but often a doctoral. I suspect you are confused about what a doctoral degree is, judging from your edit at research assistant. In order to avoid an edit war, I am asking for a WP:3O. Yours, Mootros (talk) 16:02, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
3O: Contributor thinks that RAs often have postgraduate degrees. Other party maintains they normally do and often have doctoral degrees. Mootros (talk) 16:09, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mootros,

I don't think i am confused what a graduate degree is. Read the first line I wrote in this discussion, it is clear, that I am talking about graduate degree, and I elaborated examples on what graduate degree is. however , your edits came to disagree with what I said and You reverted them. Now you are changing the subject to doctoral degree. Dear, to make it clear to you : Doctor of medicine is both a DOCTORAL and GRADUATE degree. Accordingly there is no reason that you previously removed it from the examples of graduat / doctoral degree. thanks for you discussion —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kushsinghmd (talkcontribs) 17:15, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response to third opinion request:
Folks. I note that the dispute centres on a question of fact rather than interpretation of references or style of editing or such like. For this reason, I suspect that a disinterested 3O editor is going to struggle here as you haven't supplied references to support either view.

Can I recommend that you first investigate whether there are any references available that might support one view or the other? Following that, the parties may find that there is agreement. In the event that you disagree on the interpretation of the references, you can then obtain another 3O. cheers—Thepm (talk) 21:54, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
