Any updates on this, AryKun?--NØ 14:33, 24 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@AryKun: I'm not sure if you forgot about this but if there are no updates here soon I will have to take this to WT:GAN for a second opinion.--NØ 20:06, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
He is taking care of another review. Don't worry. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 20:39, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That's fine by me but I would like an acknowledgement that they will do this review. 21 days of waiting are definitely out of the ordinary...--NØ 20:43, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
True, if I'm not mistaken the reviewer is involved in the wikicup. It might have to do with that. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 22:37, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Very, very, very sorry about the delay in this, I had some irl stuff that means I haven't really been too active on Wikipedia the last week. I will get to this today as soon as I get time. AryKun (talk) 03:39, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sorry for coming across a bit rude earlier. I think real life stuff is way more important and you should do this review at your own time after you have dealt with that situation. Many thanks for doing this btw!--NØ 11:31, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Review

[edit]

Lead

[edit]
  • "The hip hop song" → "hip hop" could be linked and is better placed in the previous sentence as "is a hip hop song by"
  • "the latter five received" → " with the latter five receiving"
  • "due to the words" → " due to the usage of words"
  • 'highlighted "Dr. Dre's inspired production"' → "highlighted the Dr. Dre-inspired production"
  • ", while numerous reviewers" → ", with numerous reviewers"
  • "the song among" → "the song as being among"
  • "It charted in various countries, including in the top ten of New Zealand, Slovakia and it peaked at number three on UK R&B chart." → "It charted in various countries, including in the top ten of New Zealand and Slovakia, and peaked at number three on the UK R&B chart."
  • Add a link to music certification.
  • This article is pretty small (which is why I hate to keep bothering) but can you try to finish this today, AK? Two experienced editors are sitting at your beck and call so it is ridiculous and unreasonable that we have been waiting since mid-April now...--NØ 02:53, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Background

[edit]
  • "Eminem's manager" → First mention of Em in body, so should be linked.
  • "proved his detractors" → "proved that his detractors"
  • "I had fun doing it we got some heat" → I think a sic tag after this is needed.

Production

[edit]
  • "was engineered" → Link to sound engineering.
  • "latter studios" → I understand this means the last two? "latter two studios" would then be clearer.

Composition and lyrical interpretation

[edit]
  • "town Ipswich" → "town of Ipswich"
  • 'on "Remember the Name"' → This phrase is unnecessary, as it's implied that we're talking about the song in this article
  • "intricate rhymes schemes" → "intricate rhyme schemes"
  • "insist that "it’s ‘bout time you remember the name." → Quote within a quote should have single-quotes.

Release and reception

[edit]
  • I've copyedited this section, feel free to point out any changes you might disagree with.
  • "Andy Cush .. these days". → This entire part is based not on a review, but on an article written before the release of the album anticipating what the song might have. As such, it should be removed.
  • "Graff continued ... Ipswich'." → This sentence doesn't make sense and should be removed, it's a sarcastic comment that can't really be incorporated here.

Chart performance

[edit]
  • The acronyms BPI and MC aren't used again and so don't need to be mentioned.

References and images

[edit]
  • References are reliable and consistently formatted.
  • Spot-checks on refs 10, 11, 12, 18, and 21 found that they supported the claims made. Permalink for ref numbers
  • The sole image used seems to be licensed correctly.
  • Perhaps you could add another image, maybe one of the singers, to reduce the text heavy feel of the article. AryKun (talk) 05:31, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Done.--NØ 05:47, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
