GA nomination notice

[edit]

I'm pretty much the principle editor on this page, and I nominated it for GA status. I'm on vacation this weekend, so will be much less available than usual. I should still be available, but figured I should drop a note here to let folks know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ealdgyth (talkcontribs) 19:10, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GA passed

[edit]

I think this is an excellent article, and I only have a few minor suggestions for its improvement.

  • I assume there are no images of Reginald?
None that I've found on Commons. ODNB says there is a seal extant, but I don't have access to it. Ealdgyth | Talk 01:07, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • In the first section, the phrase "some historians say . . ." it would read better if you give names of these historians here.
Will do! Ealdgyth | Talk 01:07, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is there more to say about his time as Bishop of Bath? He was in the post for twenty years.
After I completed most of the research on the current version, I came across some journal articles, that I will get worked into the article before I attempt to take it to FA. As far as I've been able to find, there is no good history of the medieval bishops of Bath, so it is a case of gathering very scattered information together, which takes time. In all, good job--Jackyd101 (talk) 23:11, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks much! Ealdgyth | Talk 01:07, 6 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move

[edit]

Any reason for the move? The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography spells it with a lower f, which is why the article was named the way it was. It's also generally considered polite to ask about potential moves on the talk page before just moving, especially as you didn't fix the redirects you just created. [1] gives the links that are now going through a redirect. Ealdgyth - Talk 12:48, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source

[edit]

Jean Manco, Shelter in old age: isn't a reliable source, but the information is still in the article, as the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography article includes the information that he founded the hospital in Bath. I'm moving the link back to the external links, unless folks would prefer there was no link at all. Ealdgyth - Talk 23:52, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
