I've reduced what I see as overlinking and excessive detail added in spots to the article during it recent TFA slot. A couple of those, particularly in the infobox, seem to have been contentious and BRD wasn't observed after initial reversion of the additions, so I'll initiate a discussion here. Firstly, I removed "Australia" from birth and death details in the infobox, leaving it as town and state, as there are plenty of references to Australia in the lead and infobox; if Pollard was born or died somewhere other than Australia it would obviously make sense to state that but it's not the case. Secondly, I've removed spouse from the infobox as she was not notable in her own right. The infobox is supposed to contain key, concise information about a subject, not include details simply because they're known and cited elsewhere in the article. The details and presentation are consistent with similar FA military bios, and while the fact that an article has passed an FA assessment doesn't mean it's set in stone, it does mean that there's consensus based on community review for the form of the article when it passed that assessment. If there are still objections then let's discuss here and employ consensus-building for change rather than edit-warring. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 08:57, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
