I think that the a refresher has multiple different meanings, depending on the field of discussion:

  • In food and service, a refresher is a drink (or sometimes a dessert) that is lightly caffeinated and served over ice, designed to reinvigorate someone
  • In computing, refresher could be an adjective describing an object that causes or processes a refresh, such as a script or class that organizes and performs the task of refreshing something, like a webpage or a list of files
  • In law, I have no idea what Refresher means but the current wiki page on Refresher describes it.
