Contradiction in meaning of reflectxxx
[edit]The following gives the impression of mental reflection (meditation, ...):
It is designed to inspire solemnity and, as its name implies, reflection.
The Taj Mahal image gives the impression of reflection of something or other on the water surface. 88.77.189.243 (talk) 11:31, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
I agree with OP, in not so much as a contradiction but a that it's detrimental to the article to attribute some kind of mystical reflection at a reflecting pool. Everyone is going to experience it in their own way, and to say otherwise isn't really a neutral POV. A reflecting pool creates a reflection of light and how others view that medium isn't even dependent on if that's how the creator of the pool intends, though many may very well view it in that way. --24.196.147.117 (talk) 11:04, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
I think I fixed the contradiction... but it could still use some work as it sounds very condescending... Barn Owl 444 (talk) 21:48, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

More information
[edit]It feels like there should be more information added to this article. Do reflecting pools have a cooling effect on the environment? How are they kept clean and free of mosquitoes, considering that they don't seem to have flowing water?
Just a couple of suggestions for the experts out there. 71.210.169.1 (talk) 03:27, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
