Jason Yu

[edit]

Stop posting or reposting Jason Yu under notable alumni. He does not meet Wiki notability guidelines (which is why his wiki page was deleted in the first place). This is good enough reason to preclude him from the list. The person posting only has a history of contributions pertaining to Jason Yu, and the IP address is from the University of Washington (which is the school Yu attends). Coincidence? This is shameless self-promotion. This is all pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but I'll continue to delete him from the list anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kallath (talkcontribs) 03:37, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Academics

[edit]

Everyone, please leave the list of the AP classes offered alone. A list of teachers at Redmond High, however, is irrelevant and unnecessary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.29.209 (talk) 23:37, 19 May, 2007

Why is it necessary to include a list of AP classes when most of the schools in the LWSD offer the exact same courses? How does adding such a list improve the article or make it more informative? This isn't a class schedule, it's an encyclopedia entry and it does not need that level of detail. Cumulus Clouds 02:24, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's not completely true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.85.196 (talk) 23:55, 13 June, 2007
Please explain to me why that list of courses belongs there and what possible benefit it could have to this article. Cumulus Clouds 07:25, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was able to find the sources regarding Brian Anderson's award and magazine article, but had trouble finding a source for the "top-20 public high school" thing. The closest was page 14 of Profile of UW Students, which ranks schools by number of UW students from that school, but doesn't support the implied meaning of the statement in the article. Also, the merit scholars are not publicly listed (by policy of the National Merit Corporation). There are some Seattle Times articles listing merit scholars across the state, so maybe that could be integrated into this section instead of just saying "RHS produces many scholars." undefinedvalue 08:52, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Come On

[edit]

Maybe you could try spelling things correctly, too. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.29.31 (talk) 22:50, 14 December, 2006

Whoever wrote this article is making the whole school look stupid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.29.31 (talk) 22:57, 14 December, 2006

Different Commentator, however:

I'm *positive* that some notable alumni/ae have done things other than play sports or drums? In fact, I know some. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.197.158.187 (talk) 05:27, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

68.197.158.187: Then why not add some? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.183.114.165 (talk) 21:55, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Athletics

[edit]

Wikipedia isn't the sports page, the school's article doesn't need a complete listing of their athletics programs or their KingCo standings. The article as a whole completely fails NPOV and was obviously written by one or several students at the school. People need to stop adding nonsense to the article and make everything else look more encyclopedic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.81.167.222 (talk) 07:45, 9 May, 2007

Controversy

[edit]

Are there any Seattle Times or other local newspaper articles about the drug bust in 2007? I was able to find a good one, Seattle Times, about the drug bust in 2003 (during which the student sitting next to me in class was arrested :P). undefinedvalue 09:03, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remember shortly after the drug bust (the first one!) the information was added and then immediately removed by someone else. I watched that continue for a few months before they gave up and it was gone. There have been more drug arrests there since. Vadalism by Wilsonl12

[edit]

http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Wilsonl12 added a pretty biased physical description of one of the employees... I corrected the best i could.
