I am not quite sure how to do this

What happened was that I started a new article..... today, it was put up for deletion . .. today and discussion was closed . . ... today, before I could even comment. Is this really how wikipedia works? So I would like a few other editors to take a look at this so I am posting this.

Hi, Carptrash. It looks like this article was deleted on January 30, 2010, six years ago. A bot put that notification on the talk page for you automatically. NinjaRobotPirate thanks you for your gentle touch. What was odd is that it happened exactly - to the day - six years ago. I looked at the date, but not the year. I discovered it shortly after going public but could not figure out how to stop what I had put in motion so just decided to take my well deserved lumps like a real wikipedian.
