I am not sure about the claim that he attended high school in Florida. The cited source is not available online, but other articles about Barrett indicate that he grew up around Santa Barbara, CA and signed his first contract out of high school. His biography at the SABR Baseball Biography Project [1] says he attended "Simi High School", which may or may not be the same as the current-day Simi Valley High School. --Xuxl (talk) 12:20, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
