Separate article for this subspecies?
[edit]@Elioeilish, Jmt39, and Hughesdarren: Hi all. WP:SPECIES gives guidance about species themselves, but there's no WP:SUBSPECIES or similar, not that I can find. I suppose it would be on a case-by-case basis. It would appear to me that this subspecies might merit an individual article if it is widely attested. Eastern garter snake is a subspecies of T. sirtalis that has an uncontentious article. I would suggest that this may be the same. In the alternative, perhaps this could be moved to a draft before being re-introduced into articlespace?--Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 10:25, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Shirt58, thank you for the clarification on individual articles for subspecies. @Jmt39 is a student editor for this article and has accumulated extensive information on this subspecies that warrants an individual article. @Jmt39 is editing the article in their draftspace, and I created this article page as a placeholder so that it can be easily accessed when it comes time for them to publish the final article.
