This article explains what the rectification is as in a thesaurus, but it does not give links to what follows like wiki pages do. In the case a rectification of land is made, and the judge made an error, what are the possible remedies to choose from and are there links to those wiki pages?

For instance this case where during the appeal the judge finds that the defendant does not have right of way by 20 years user because he did not own the land long enough, the judge then finds that this encroachment needs a rectification of the boundaries so that the defendant is given this part of the land and the old boundary has to be rectified. So in effect the property registration would have made an error when they split the land. But they have split off a second small part of around 5 metres a few years prior to the purchase by defendant, to make way for an extention to the plaintiffs house on that land and this is right where the encroachment takes place. So in effect a 5 metre rectification was made by property registration and therefore their mapping is correct to the situation. The rectification of that small part is put forward in court and the judge states he acknowledges that but still feels that the boundary has to be rectified to make way for the encroachment.
