"Receptaculites fossels are found in only two strata of rock layers and are found only in rock country in northern Illinois" Fossils is the correct spelling, also there are Receptaculites fossils in Australian Limestone. In the Taemus Peninsula there is a massive limestone bed called the Receptaculites due to the 1m layer of Receptaculites. I was lucky enough to have found a specimen amongst the float. So I think that statement is wrong and needs to be changed...
Removing text
[edit]That chunk of text which gives a few localities for receptaculitid fossils is essentially meaningless. Receptaculitids are found all over the world in a large number of rock units. We need more general statements and information for a professional article like this.Wilson44691 (talk) 02:58, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
