Facts

[edit]

This article isn't written to attack Rashid Rauf, but to give information about him that probably will be available soon.

Now that you've changed the article and are sticking to facts rather than allegations, I've removed the CSD tag --RMHED 19:21, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup necessary

[edit]

The current article is nothing more than a chronology of events with accompanying links. Cioxx 06:46, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Explosive

[edit]

I was reading up on the bomb Rauf is accused of planning to use. Weird to say the least. According to chemists to make enough to damage the plane (250 gm) he would need 32 ltrs of precursor liquids (these are the liquids that Rauf is charged with possesing that are called explosives in the charge) which would take 3 or 4 hours to mix then need to be left standing for another 4 hours (to form the chrystals) while keeping the temperature below 10 Celsius for the entire time. During the process it will give of noxious fumes. Are the authorities idiots for thinking it can be done on a plane or do they assume they would be prepared before boarding? In which case why would they ban taking liquids on planes? Wayne 16:08, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Parentage

[edit]

Either he is the son of a British baker, or he has Pakistani parents. It currently says both. Bretonbanquet (talk) 10:08, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is someone going to address this? Or both statements will be removed as unsourced. Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:00, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's entirely possible that both are true. There are a lot of Pakistani immigrants in Britain. Katharineamy (talk) 16:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course there are, but being a Pakistani immigrant doesn't necessarily make you British, and the source that states that his father is a baker does not ascribe nationality. Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:17, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from that, the fact that he was the son of a baker is hardly relevant to the first sentence. Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:18, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please, don't use the Long War Journal to say that he is alive

[edit]

The Long War Journal is not a good website. It bases many reports from rumors, and is at times very inaccurate. They even said Baitullah Mehsud had survived the airstrike that National Security Advisor Jim Jones said killed him.204.169.161.1 (talk) 23:23, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[1][reply]

Don't believe MI5 or MI6 are right when they say he is alive

[edit]

It is just their opinion.204.169.161.1 (talk) 22:39, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
