Maybe something should be added about how Blondie makes a reference herself about grandmaster Flash? She listened to one of his early gigs and that's what the lines "Flash is fast, flash is good" are about. Read more about in on this source: http://www.chuckthewriter.com/gmf5.pdf -Anzbevrct

Blondie who? The comic book character? Or did you mean DEBBY HARRY? "Blondie" is the name of the BAND, not an individual. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HammerFilmFan (talkcontribs) 15:38, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rapture and a fascination with black c.... c... culture.

[edit]

Its all an allusion to her love of sex with black men.

"Barely breathing Almost comatose"..

The clincher. "Sacrailiac". What caused her to notice her Sacrailiac...

Fair use rationale for Image:Rapture.jpg

[edit]

Image:Rapture.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:36, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Destiny Child used the hook of this song as background vocals in the bridge of their Charlie's Angel song. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.93.180.194 (talk) 11:49, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UK single image

[edit]

Should we swap the UK and U.S. singles? Blondie is a U.S. band.--Knulclunk (talk) 02:03, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pop Culture

[edit]

A 2015 Acura RDX television commercial (Drive Like a Boss) features the song which is to be interpreted as playing inside the vehicles audio system. The driver in the commercial rapped along even while the music ceased in order to receive a hands-free cell phone call. The driver was played by dental hygienist, Chelsea Ranger, who months before rapped in a video that went viral.Halconen (talk) 17:52, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This seems more like funk rock than disco. The Mo-Ja'al (talk) 18:26, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

How can that song be hip hop when the definition has not entered main stream - maybe not even conceived - in 1980?
