Talk:Rank of a tensor

A rank 2 tensor can be represented by a square matrix. However this is not true of tensors of other/higher ranks. So is it really necessary to make it appear as if speaking of the rank of a tensor is ambiguous? I don't think this is accurate. Not even in the rank 2 case. --MarSch 11:10, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
