Delete => The oil from the reservoir was soon drained and the region's oil boom went bust the J.H. McCleskey No. 1 oil well was abandoned on May 30, 1930.

Add => The gas driving the oil from the reservoir to the surface was soon depleted and the oil hasn't been commercially producible since the gas was depleted. The region's oil boom went bust and the J.H. McCleskey No. 1 oil well was abandoned on May 30, 1930.

See https://www.texasmonthly.com/articles/old-oil-the-ranger-revival/ for much better facts than currently shown here including: "Pressure in the reservoir fell to zero, and even though there was far more oil left in the ground than had been pumped out, there was no way to recover it without the pressure to push it to the surface" and "If only someone could figure out how to restore pressure, the kind of pressure that sometimes spewed 10,000 barrels a day into the air. sending roustabouts scrambling for safety and forcing drillers to dig great earthen dams to hold the oil back until the wells were capped. If only someone could do that, then maybe, just maybe . . ." and much more.

These facts are well known to experienced oil & gas industry veterans at the time and into the 1970's.
