Possible Vandalism

[edit]

Miguel Cardenas- Grumpy Old Man? Does this mean something I don't understand, or is it vandalism? I went to the article on him, but it was very short, poorly written and had no citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.93.187.141 (talk) 03:18, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Concur. I think it is more along the lines of an obscure practical joke. I think the line should be deleted. OffColfax (talk) 05:01, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Hollys and Susan Vreeland's book

[edit]

I'm mildly perplexed that the page makes no reference to Susan Vreeland's mostly non-fictional novel, What Love Sees, her first (1988) book. About half of it is set in Ramona, from Jean Treadway's marriage to Forrest Holly of Ramona, circa 1944, to the Hollys' departure for Escondido, circa 1958. I considered adding something about it to the 'notable residents' section but wasn't sure that was appropriate format-wise (as a couple raising four kids, not particularly notable, except that both parents were blind), and also worried that the omission might be intentional because mid-20th century Ramona isn't portrayed all that favourably in Vreeland's book. So I'll just mention it here and leave people more familiar with the page to figure out whether to do anything.
