Observations and Edits
[edit]Dr. Agarwal's article here at Wikipedia seems to have been chewed back since March 2017 by around 20 edits by editor "Prajaman", including removing important content and references. It's been peppered with "citation needed" tags for the kinds the personal information that don't seem to have such tags in other biographies, so some of those that are implied (for instance by MathGenealogy database) have been removed. It's also been tagged as a resume, which it may have been at some time but is no longer. Also, Dr. Agarwal edited this article in the past, but the last time looks like it was around 2012 and the article is very different now, so I think that tag can also be deleted. I have added some references for personal information, like Dr. Agarwal's listing in the official Washington University history of professorships hardback and also some content on his other areas of research, like controls (which are highly cited). Also, added some awards and recognition items (society fellowships, etc). 128.252.25.42 (talk) 23:41, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
Tag Summary
[edit]Article is essentially in the form of a resume at the moment and there is no real WP:RS. I will try to address these after a short waiting period. I think especially that refs will not be too hard to find. Please do not remove tags unless associated issue is demonstrably resolved. Thanks, Agricola44 (talk) 21:26, 15 June 2011 (UTC).
And, it's only gotten worse since the tags were added, including edits by none other than user:RameshKumarAgarwal2012 ! :) I doubt this article meets the Wikipedia:Notability requirements, especially given the whole section devoted to the vanity press called "who's who"... 67.164.154.79 (talk) 08:13, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
- I've been meaning to get back to this (admittedly for a long time), but haven't yet been able. Please have a go at cleanup. I don't believe there's any question regarding notability: there's a strong assertion in the very first sentence as him having a named chair (satisfying WP:PROF c5) and this seems to be confirmed by his official university page. What the article really needs is clean-up and some additional sources. Agricola44 (talk) 16:09, 29 January 2014 (UTC).
