Date of birth
[edit]@GiantSnowman:, this looks like the same guy at es:Ramón Guzmán, however Spanish Wikipedia has a different date of birth (January 22 of 1907). Could you look at your source again please. maybe a '1' (January) vs '9' (September) error somewhere. John Vandenberg (chat) 07:35, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- @John Vandenberg: - other source seem to say 22 January, others say 22 September - I am going on holiday in about 30 minutes, just here to clear out my watchlist before I go, so I don't have time to do deeper checking - please can you raise at WT:FOOTBALL to see if they have any clue? Sorry I couldn't be more help at the moment... GiantSnowman 07:42, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- Thx. Enjoy the holiday! John Vandenberg (chat) 07:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
- Haha, thanks! GiantSnowman 07:50, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

I'm almost certain that BDFutbol's information is incorrect (even though it is typically accurate). The person who played football for Barcelona from 1927 to 1935 and managed the club in 1941 was Ramón Guzmán Carbonell; this Mundo Deportivo article confirms it. - @Jogurney: so we have two different people who died on the same day? I suspect a detailed review of all the articles in Ramón Guzmán (Q584525) is required, because our editors have likely copied from other interwiki linked articles, but also because the sources have likely also made similar mistakes. de:Ramón Guzmán is Martorell. All of the others are Carbonell, except for pl:Ramón Guzmán which is about someone born 22 January 1899[1] inserted by user:Paberu. John Vandenberg (chat) 12:22, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
- I suspect they are describing the same person, and I trust the Mundo Deportivo article's biographical information more than the BDFutbol database (which seems to be the source for the Martorell family name). I also found this Mundo Deportivo article which indicates Guzmán played for Mallorca after leaving Barcelona in 1935 (but sadly doesn't confirm his family name or date of birth).
