Questionable content.
[edit]==> In this section:
No. 2 (Summer, 1962)
The cover of No. 2 pictured a young couple in swimsuits, kissing passionately; it was printed in two colors, black and greenish-yellow, with a red-orange logo. The inside covers repeated the theme in red (front) and blue (back).
The first eight pages are given over to a photo-essay on the female reaction to Jack Kennedy. Kennedy was a notorious adulterer, and no doubt Ginzburg wanted to extract his pound of flesh for his prosecution by the Kennedy administration.

on sources for "Ginzburg's prosecution for obscenity"
[edit]In one of my copies of eros, is an old article on Ginzburg's conviction/trial from the time, which substantiates several facts in this section. If a useful source, I'll pull out a reference of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.252.77.72 (talk) 02:38, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
[Bulk of article removed for inaccuracy] For more information see an article in Consumer Reports magazine called "A Rogues Gallery of Mail Order Scams" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.86.243.12 (talk • contribs)
NOTE: The author of this edited "talk" article is clearly someone who is trying to smear the good name of a respected man...probably one of his former employees who was caught stealing or doing some other unsavory deed. He or she is going to a bunch of trouble to continually repost the misinformation many years after the death of Ralph Ginzburg and decades after the supposed publishing. What could possibly be a motivation for this? Does this person have nothing better to do with his/her life?
This mysterious unspecified so-called issue of "Consumer Reports" magazine (that he or she is claiming to have referenced) is not available or noted anywhere online except in this talk article.
Anyone familiar with Ralph Ginzburg's work knows that it wasn't soft porn; half was art, half was funny.
Championing quote from Arthur Miller
[edit]See http://www.evesmag.com/ginzburg.htm for an article written by Ginzburg and a quote (third paragraph from bottom) from Arthur Miller regarding the tame nature Ginzburg's work.
The whole point of Ginzburg's story is that he was prosecuted by an insane so-called justice system and wrongfully identified as having publishing "obscenity," as anyone who ever actually had seen the magazines would know. (Editorialcorrection (talk) 05:46, 26 April 2011 (UTC)editorialcorrection)

Another side to Ralph Ginzburg
[edit]Ralph Ginzburg claimed to be a big defender of free speech and freedom of the press when he was actually exploiting and subverting those very freedoms for his own gain. This article from Consumer Reports, February 1986 exposes some of his scams.
