[edit]
  • No edit warring, fine with stability
  • Copyvio ([1]) looks good!

Prose

[edit]
  • Ralph A. Campbell Jr. — We mention him in the prose as just "Ralph Campbell Jr.", without 'A.'
    • Removed "A" - can't find the origin of it.
  • the office of state Auditor of North Carolina — since we mention NC, I don't think mentionning 'state' is necessary.
    • Removed.
  • Re-elected in 1996 and 2000, he lost a bid for a third term to Republican Les Merritt. — Doesn't quite fit. He was elected in 1992. So, first term: 92-96, second term: 96-00, third term: 00-04, so he lost the bid for fourth term, I think.
    • Fixed.
  • Ralph Campbell Jr. was born on December 7, 1946 in — Missing MOS:DATECOMMA
    • Added.
  • with two brothers, Bill, and Eddie, and one sister — I'm not sure, but I doubt the comma after 'Bill'
    • Removed.
  • After graduating from J. W. Ligon High School in — The common name seems to be "John W. Ligon Middle School"
    • Done.
  • Campbell was first elected to the Raleigh City Council in 1985 and was re-elected in 1987, 1989, and 1991. He chaired the Law and Finance Committee and Intergovernmental Committee from 1985 to 1989 and served as mayor pro tempore in his final term from 1989 to 1991. — This confuses me. Why do we say in the lead that he "served on the Raleigh City Council from 1985 to 1991", if he was re-elected in 1991?
    • Clarified, final *full* term. He was indeed still on the council in early 1992 (a 1992 Carolinian article muses over who could replace him if he wins the auditor race), but it is unclear when he vacated the seat.
  • His Republican opponent in the general election was Jack Daly, a law student — "He was challenged by Republican canddiate Jack Daly, a law student."
    • Done.
  • Ralph Campbell ran for re-election v. Campbell ultimately won reelection v. Campbell lost reelection in November — Hyhenate for consistency
    • Done.
  • the 2000 Democratic National Conventions — "Convention", not "Conventions", I think.
    • Fixed.
  • admitted to Duke Raleigh Hospital — missing definite article
    • Added.

  • Suggesting to add ALT text. Fine with licencing.
    • Done.

References

[edit]
  • Fine with relaibility. Not a requirment for GA (or even FA, as a matter of fact), but do we have access to the newspapers sources where link has not been provided. At Newspapers.com, Gale, ProQuest, etc?
    • ProQuest IDs added where possible.
  • "2011-01-15" — Inconsistent date format.
    • Fixed.
