Unclear

[edit]

I have tagged this article for being unclear. I can't make out the head or tail of this article. Why was he criticising the police? What were the police doing that led him to criticise them? What was the response (public response as per sources) etc? Lots of unanswered questions. This article needs to be clarified. Senegambianamestudy (talk) 19:01, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No idea. I moved it from "Rakem Balogun Facebook Incident" which seemed to me not to be particularly notable. I thought maybe someone might have heard of him. Deb (talk) 19:05, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just to point out that the article makes no mention of Balogun being black or of him campaigning for African Americans - which kind of makes a nonsense of the various categories. I haven't made the change because I'm not sure how best to describe him. Pincrete (talk) 18:03, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yet, you removed all the see also topics but left Black Identity Extremists - [1] ? Senegambianamestudy (talk) 19:35, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This article doesn't fully summarize the sources it cites, many of which mention Balogun's race and describe him as the first person accused of being a "Black Identity Extremist". — MShabazz Talk/Stalk 23:24, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. This article is poorly edited. I have looked at the sources and the subject seems notable enough. This editor has prodded the article without notifying the creator. I have notified them here. There are countless of sources about this individual and the delusional Black Identity Extremism cooked up by the FBI under Trump's administration. I am removing the prod but ask that this article reflects the sources it cites. Senegambianamestudy (talk) 10:28, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Senegambianamestudy: Please see WP:BLP1E. We don't included articles on people notable for only a single event, for several reasons, primarily because Wikipedia is not a newspaper and that they tend to be pseudo-biographies that do not present a balanced summary of the subject's life. Since you've objected to the PROD, I'll have to take this to AfD. – Joe (talk) 12:17, 2 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
