This is wrong on two levels. A "rainbow" is a smooth gradient of colors. Look at a real rainbow in the sky - it has no bands. Secondly, "indigo" isn't a color, and was mostly invented by Newton because he was obsessed with the number 7. David G (talk) 08:11, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, can someone please remove the unnecessary police presence under the History section? There’s an arbitrary photo of a cop with a pride flag on cheek, with no particular reference to anything. That photo could be replaced with something more appropriate, such as a photo of Gilbert carrying the original flag, or a pride flag being hung outside of a queer bar or club.
Police have historically oppressed queer, gay, and trans people. Police represent and uphold bigotry, incarcerate queer people, and still kill queer people in places where homosexuality is illegal. Police do not deserve to be on this page, unless under a section about police oppression.
And isn't it wonderful, with thanks to the brave and proud who've fought the fight, that a police officer at a pride event is now seen displaying the adopted symbol of pride themselves? Quite a revealing image. Fred Gandt · talk · contribs11:44, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done with no view taken on whether the image is deserving or revealing, there's simply nothing in the text about UK police adoption of the flag, and no context for whether this example is a commonplace or unusual one. --Belbury (talk) 12:01, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I rewrote New Pride Flag content to remove self-promotional tone and funding pitch and make it more inline with encyclopedic style. Myotus (talk) 14:55, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, it's still got one independent source, and I don't think it's enough to merit its inclusion all else being equal. I might remove it entirely if there's no other mention of it in RS. Remsense ‥ 论22:34, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
