[edit]Important to put a figure of the transverse profile of a radial beam with arrows representing the direction of the electric field. It should be nopted that radial polarized beams must be dark in the center. Azimutal polarization should also be mentioned as it is the orthogonal polarization to radial polarization. The difference between radial polarization to linear or elliptical polarization should be noted as the latter have a constant polarization for any specific transverse cross-section, while radially or azimuthaly polarized beams have a polarization which has a transverse spatial dependence. I'll try to make the additions when I have time. I would also separate the practical seciton of how to make radial polarized beams to a different paragraph. Eranus (talk) 06:53, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree, and had a go at something, but I didn't think my attempt gave a clear picture to someone unfamiliar with polarised beams in general. Hopefully I'll have another try at some point. I put in a redlink to axial polarisation (a synonym for azimuthal) but that was as far as I got. ChrisHodgesUK (talk) 19:11, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
