Engineering versus Marketing denominations
- articles about brands are/should become Radeon, AMD FirePro, AMD Radeon Rx 200 Series, etc. see brand.
- engineering articles are Tesla (microarchitecture), Fermi (microarchitecture); in the future maybe TeraScale (microarchitecture) and Graphics Core Next
- a mixture of both is the article AMD Eyefinity; Eyefinity is of course a brand, but i tired to explain the underlying technology as strait forward as possible.
Brands have a certain use, and I do not mind having articles around and even working on them. The extent of an encyclopedia becomes rather questionable and problematic, when the ratio of article about "brands" and articles about engineering becomes to big. Having articles like Graphics Core Next makes for easier reference (especially from the articles on brands), removes duplication of content and raises peer-review.
