This has been recommended to be moved to Wiktionary before, and it appears that Wiktionary already includes raconteur. So really I think this article should be deleted, but I wasn't sure of the best way for that to happen. – BryanD 23:26, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

agreed, needs to be deleted. this is literally a dictionary definition...how d'you delete a whole page?

One other thing - it could use the addition of a disambiguation page for "The Raconteurs" rock band.

History behind Raconteur

[edit]

Shouldn't we add the story for the term, not just the definition? --eipipuz 17:04, 22 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

define: quandry

Went to a bio, saw subject described as raconteur, no wiki-link, entered it into search, got entry on Storytelling. Wha???

Nowhere in that entry does the word raconteur appear; not a hint of it or what it means. Looked around, felt like an idiot trying to buy a Zune in an Apple store, thought "bugger this for a lark" and went to google. That was hours ago, because while at google i found a better bio and clicked from there. Only came back here because I had promised myself I would.

I know most likely no one will ever see this, but come on! Wikipedia has got to be better than this!! How can a word re-direct to a page that doesn't explain it? that doesn't even include it in the entire text?
