Within five minutes of this article's publication it was tagged for speedy deletion by WebHamster without explanation. I cannot see the smallest justification for this tag so I am deleting it. There is no way on earth that WebHamster could have read all the cited references in order to form any kind of informed view on this artist's stature before deciding to delete the article. Rubywine22:01, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The explanation was there for you to read in bold. The reason I proposed deletion is due to lack of notability. There is no benefit for getting irate about it. Perhaps you should have actually read the notice before the red mist came down. WebHamster22:08, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What lack of notability!? Explain yourself! Tegan Quin appeared as a backing vocalist on this woman's debut album. Do you have any idea what that signifies? Do you actually know anything at all about independent music? Is your problem that this person isn't in the commercial pop charts? Or is it that she's a female singer-songwriter? Rubywine22:25, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As I said previously, do not take it personally. Rather than taking personal shots at me perhaps you should try to see things from an independent standpoint. I've set the AFD procedure into progress as you agreed. Now it's beyond you or me and down to the majority vote. You do need to know some things first though. 2) I'm not an administrator 2) I work for an independent record company as well as other roles in the music business. No sit yourself down, take a few deep breaths and calm down. As I said before the article is borderline. If the vote goes your way then great, if it doesn't then please try to learn from the experience. Either way Wikipedia will benefit and that's what we're here for. You are here for that aren't you? Or are you here to promote a certain artist? WebHamster23:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The article is not remotely borderline. It's your judgement that's completely off the wall. And if you had even glanced at my history you could have seen that I am not on Wikipedia to promote an individual artist. I am also not on Wikipedia to be patronised by people like you whose sole contribution here is bureaucratic and destructive. Go and read the AfD - you're the one who needs to learn from this experience. And then go and read your own Talk page - all you've succeeded in doing here is deterring people from making any kind of further contribution to Wikipedia. This is certainly the last article I am ever going to write for Wikipedia. With people like you around running around tagging every new article stub for deletion without three seconds' thought, it's a total waste of time and energy. Can't find a reliable source that the wedding actually happened at the predicted time, but here's a reliable source that she was engaged to Liz Feldman:
Removing image. I have no idea what the BLP looks like; so coming to this page and seeing this very vague & confusing image is not WP policy or standard. It does not feature or display the BLP prominently enough to be an infobox image. Which one is Rachael Cantu and which one is Kate Cooper? Also, why is Kate Cooper even in this image? Cantu is married to Liz Feldman. Unless I missed it, Cooper isn't even mentioned in the article; and Kate Cooper on WP is not this person. Maineartists (talk) 20:53, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
