[edit]I think that we should re-categorize the different stages as:
- mass-start stage
- individual time-trial stage
- team time-trial stage
I have never heard of a stage being officially called a breakaway stage. A rolling stage, maybe, with a few climbs thrown in. I think that classifying stages by its terrain is fine, but strong prediction of the stage outcome is not a good idea ;-). Jacky Durand is certainly not deterred by these predictions.
I'm also thinking of writing more information directly pertinent to Stage Race, which is currently redirected here. Julius.kusuma 19:39, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
I am looking to link to Stage races as types of multiday races that are footraces, like Trans-Europe, Trans-Am, Trans-Gaule. Abichal (talk) 09:57, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
