London HQ in the 1970s & 80s
[edit]In all of your internet sites on the history of R S Components there is never any mention of your many years at Fitzroy House, Epworth Street in London, why is this? It's as if you are ashamed of it. It was largely instrumental in guiding the Company into becoming the global corporation it has become today and to forget this time you had there is very disrespectful to the many staff who worked there and were very proud to do so. Can this omission please be corrected? 92.22.92.215 (talk) 10:01, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi - Do you have any reliable, published sources describing the activities there? Dormskirk (talk) 13:52, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
London HQ in the 1970s & 80s
[edit]Hi Dormskirk - I do have some published material on their time in London somewhere but it make take some time to find as its now 38 years since I worked there. I was, at the time the "Telephone Order Office" Manager and my wife was Secretary to a Senior Executive. To our knowledge Fitzroy House, Epworth Street in London was their main HQs for the 1970s through to 1984 when they relocated to Corby, Northants making hundreds of staff redundant. 92.22.92.215 (talk) 18:33, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
- OK. But please read WP:RS: it needs to have been published and needs to be independent of the company. Dormskirk (talk) 20:57, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
R S Components London during 1970s / 80s
[edit]No, as I previously stated, published material would now be hard to find but I defy anyone to contradict my previous statements that they spent many years at Fitzroy House, Epworth Street London! 92.22.92.215 (talk) 09:56, 8 November 2022 (UTC)
RS Components in London
[edit]Still no mention of their time at Fitzroy House, Epworth Street, London during the 1970s & up to 1984! 92.22.92.215 (talk) 09:47, 9 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi - Please see WP:BURDEN. The burden is on you to provide reliable published sources. I don't have any. Dormskirk (talk) 10:04, 9 November 2022 (UTC)
R S In London
[edit]The burden should'nt be on me to provide evidence that they were in London at this time. That is common knowledge to any business that has been around for more than 5 minutes. I am asking for R S themselves to do the decent thing and aknowledge this time at Fitzroy House, Epworth Street, London EC2. THANKYOU. 92.22.92.215 (talk) 10:04, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- OK. No problem. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 10:15, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

RS IN LONDON
[edit]I'm still here and still waiting for a reply to my query over a year ago for somebody at RS Comps. to have the decency to explain why there is no mention in their history of their time at Fitzroy house in London during the 1970s and up to 1985! This is VERY disrespectful to the many loyal staff they had there. Can somebody please amend this? 92.6.54.115 (talk) 20:37, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- In the absence of any independently sourced information from anyone at the company, I have added a brief mention of Fitzroy House sourced from a 1979 publication titled the Teacher's Guide to Domestic Electricity. Dormskirk (talk) 23:07, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Dormskirk, re RS Comps. time at Fitzroy House, London, I now have to hand published proof of their time at this address but as it shows many members of staff who worked there at the time it may leave me open to certain legalities if I publish them. If you give me an address I Will happily snail mail it to you. Cheers. 92.6.54.115 (talk) 13:26, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, you are quite right: we cannot use that because of data protection. Sorry. Dormskirk (talk) 15:27, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

RD Comps. Time at Fitzroy House, London.
[edit]then why did you ever ask??? 92.6.54.115 (talk) 16:05, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- A document which shows members of staff who worked there is unlikely to be a published document. However, if additional information from reliable, independent, published sources comes available we can still use that information. Dormskirk (talk) 17:10, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
