Fair use rationale for Image:RATP logo.gif

Image:RATP logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Is this name still correct?.

I'm wondering if this is still the correct name for this article. Based on:

• RATP seems to call itself just that, or sometimes Groupe RATP (in French) or RATP Group (in English). The name Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens seems to be markedly absent from their web site. So is this still the official name of the organisation, or have they changed their formal name to the abbreviation (much as BAA did).

• The name no longer really reflects the nature of the organisation. In truth RATP is now a multinational transport operator, operating services from Bournemouth to Sao Paulo via Seoul.

I'd suggest renaming this article to RATP Group. Or perhaps creating an RATP Group article and making this article a sub-article just covering the RATP's traditional Paris operations. What do people think. -- Starbois (talk) 19:29, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Hong Kong Tramways

This page lists the Hong Kong tram as being part of the RATP Group. As far as I know, the HK tram is now operated by Veolia Transport who took over from Wharf Holdings. You are right on the origin. However as mentioned on Hong Kong Tramways it is now owned by VT and RATP. To be more accurate HK Tram should be included into VTRA (Veolia Transport RATP Asia (VTRA)) mentioned in the list. Hong Kong Tramways, Seoul Metro and Mumbai are all controlled by the same Joint Venture.
