Copyright violations

I noticed that much of the text for this page has been copied from R.H. King Academy website and Scarborough Walk of Fame website. This is a violation of Wikipedia's copyright rules. If it is not changed I will be listing this page as a copyvio. Please see Wikipedia:Copyright problems and Wikipedia:Copyrights for further information. Atrian 05:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

I believe the school itself requested and aided in the development of this page. I will try to contact them (as I attend the school) and try to obtain formal permissions. jefftheworld 02:54, 01 February 2007 (UTC)

Oldest Secondary School

Agincourt Collegiate Institute claims to be the oldest school in Scarborough as it was founded in 1915. I have deleted this and think a discussion may need to be generated on this. Nlsanand 04:59, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

According to the book History of Scarborough by (unknown at this time) from the Albert Campbell Public Library, Agincourt School did come into existence before R.H. King Academy (formerly Scarborough High School. However, Scarborough High School is the first secondary school in Scarborough. Royalflight 02:54, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Rules for different streams

There are a few rules implemented by the staff which are different from other schools in TDSB. There are two different strands: Leadership and Regular In leadership a student is required to complete 100 hours of community service to graduate. In regular a student is required to complete 75 hours of community service to graduate. In regular TDSB a student is required to complete 40 hours of community service to graduate.

There are many more rules implied please contribute. KJControl 18:42, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Leadership Groups, Athletics and Activity Changes

Many of these clubs and groups no longer exist, obviously there is no way for me to cite this, but the following are no longer in existence:

  1. Historical Reading Club (Reason: Teacher is no longer there)
  2. Historical Gaming Club (Reason: Teacher is no longer there)
  3. Film Club (Reason: I was the founder, and I graduated)
  4. Improv Club (Reason: Series of coaches left and did not return}
  5. Miniature Enthusiasts Club (Reason: Lasted only one semester)

I'm sure there are others that I (and my friends who still go there, who confirmed these ones for me) are less aware of. An updated list is needed. Jefftheworld (talk) 06:50, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
