There are some statements about dates in the article that cannot easily be reconciled, if at all. For example, the opening paragraph states that Blumenfeld was in charge of the Daily Express from 1902 to 1932. So far, so good. But then the third paragraph of the Biography section states that his editorship lasted until 1929, when he found himself gradually marginalized. Then the fifth paragraph of the Biography section says that he became Chairman of the Board in 1932, retaining the position for the rest of his life, which would imply that he held the position until 1948. And then the final paragraph says that he retired in 1935, and was incapacitated by a stroke in 1936.
So the reader is left wondering: was he in charge of the Daily Express until 1929, 1932, 1935, or 1948? It's hard to understand, for example, how he could have remained Chairman of the Board until 1948 if he retired in 1935 and was incapacitated by 1936. And how does one reconcile his becoming Chairman of the Board in 1932 and retaining the position for life, if, as the opening paragraph states, he was in charge of the paper only until 1932?
It would be good if someone who understood Blumenfeld's life in detail could clarify some of these statements, which give the impression of having been added by different people at different times without reference to the statements already in the article.
