WP:DIFFPUNCT: R. (R. Kelly album) really not needed to distinguish from R° (Rurutia album) and R (album) currently redirecting to Rated R (Queens of the Stone Age album)? In ictu oculi (talk) 03:06, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

R (album) redirected to dab, R. (album) moved to R (R. Kelly album) / R (R. Kelly album) already redirects. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:30, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on R (R. Kelly album). Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Requested move 24 May 2021

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: R. (album) and moved per nomination. No consensus regarding R (single album). (closed by non-admin page mover)Lord Bolingbroke (talk) 09:08, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

– per WP:SMALLDETAILS three albums all read "R" distinguished by stylisms that some sources can't pick up. Napster for instance. The Rosé album is only 12 min long with 4 tracks but topped South Korean full album chart. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:06, 24 May 2021 (UTC) Relisting. BD2412 T 03:04, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tbhotch - I was not aware that you added (single album) as part of ALBUMDAB 11 March 2019 here. How much discussion was there for this change? In ictu oculi (talk) 09:36, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have no objection to R (Rosé single album) in deference to K-Pop and J-Pop editors but the wider editor and more importantly reader community will not know that "single album" is a Japanese/Korean market term for EP. Removing the most identifying feature of the article - the artist name Rosé. Doesn't help. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:22, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I was about to reply here but I noticed this will be a long reply that has nothing to do with the RM. I'll reply in my talk page. (CC) Tbhotch 17:58, 25 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
