Blatant self-promotion spam. Notability also questionable. --Javit 14:40, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy delete was struck down by Natalie, I therefore propose deletion now. --Javit 14:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added the academic quote form the People's Daily, about his school loans being forgiven for his academic achievement, but I don't know how to repeat a reference, and stand by the better translation of the title of the prior reference. Can someone fix my last edit? KP Botany 01:14, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is slowly turning out to be a MUCH better article, may need to reconsider AfD --Javit 01:34, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It is hard to judge an article on the merits of its subject when the language, style, and grammar make you retch while reading it. But I think there was a language barrier also, both in the writing, and in the source, as I found a lot more hits from the news when I searched using his name in Chinese, something suggested by one of the other editors--pop culture in East Asia can generate a lot more interest in a singer before he/she even makes a blip in the English-speaking world, which is I asked one of the pop editors to look into it, also. Album title

[edit]

What is the EP title in Chinese, 陈仁丰? Then it should simply be translated to the epynomous Quincy Tan in English, I think? Or is it called Quincy Tan EP 2006? Try to clean this up, someone who can read Chinese, from the newspaper articles. KP Botany 21:08, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Quincy Avatar.jpg

[edit]

Image:Quincy Avatar.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
