Areas for Expansion

[edit]

The items below were ones I was not able to locate details on while preparing the initial article. If anyone reads this and has citeable evidence, feel free to add the material to the article.

  • Quotes from Dvořák that clarify the reason for abandoning the quartet at one movement.
  • Details on just when the movement came to light.
  • Circumstances of its first performance.
  • A good detailed analysis of the movement.

First publication

[edit]

This shouldn't be a matter of dispute between quotes... Dvorak.cz doesn't offer a publication date, that said: It appears in a 1951 publication by Orbis OCLC 842227437 - - also in v47 of the Editio Supraphon Dvorak complete Works .Perhaps in an earlier publication.
