Nicole Parker

Heuvelmans Lake

Has anyone else noticed the startling resemblance between the name of the lake in this episode and that of noted cryptozoologist Bernard Heuvelmans? I wonder if they are by any chance related? Srsly, worth mentioning? Mr Larrington (talk) 16:26, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wooden leg reference

Lowry's just plain wrong; the wooden leg reference is not to the book "Games People Play," it's a reference to Ahab from "Moby Dick." I'm sorry but you really don't even need a reference for that one; it's that clear. Remember that there's many references to the novel in the episode and Scully even calls Mulder "Ahab" at one point.
