Is the tubercle of the femur the same as the quadrate tubercle of the femur? The quadrate tubercle is on the posterior side of the femur, on the intertrochanteric crest. However, this article's picture shows an anterior view of the femur, which is either confusing or just incorrect. Furthermore, at least one article that contains "quadrate tubercle of the femur" links to this article as if these two terms were synonyms. (quadratus femoris) Could someone please clarify this point?Bobsagat (talk) 00:04, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
- I am not 100% sue on this (I will check with Arcadian) but based on this: [1] I would say that they are similar (although it is not said so in that PDF. They seem to be describing one and the same thing. If so a redirect of those terms would be in order. But yeah I will check with arcadian first (he is an anatomy expert).
