Name?
[edit]Why is this article titled just ‘Corridor’ rather than by the full name? David Arthur 15:00, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
- The creator of the page is following the scheduled timetable that VIA Rail publishes for its passenger rail services. The article naming also follows the Wikipedia naming standard for articles relating to Amtrak and other passenger rail services which have multiple trains on an easily defined route. I believe this article is distinct from the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor article which refers to the geographic region but not the passenger rail service. VIA also uses the longer term when describing its trains in more detail but it has been using the term 'Corridor' in marketing and to distinguish it from the transcontinental services. Further information, check out a hardcopy of the VIA timetable, or this link "Corridor" May 2007 VIA timetable Plasma east (talk) 16:24, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Pretty busy route, similar to some in Germany, amount of double/quad tracks and sidings could be of interest. 85.78.218.60 (talk) 07:03, 25 January 2011 (UTC)
- I live in Toronto, am a fifth-generation Torontonian, and I'm well-aware of what the Windsor-Quebec City Corridor is and is not. Where are the sources for this article? Take a look. There are none, as on the main "Quebec-Windsor Corridor" https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Quebec_City%E2%80%93Windsor_Corridor page. It's nonsense, because the sources link to nothng that even mentions Quebec (other than province of Quebec population) or Windsor, at all.

[edit]There is an error on this image. Between Montreal and Saint-Hyacinthe it is written Saint-Laurent, when it should be corrected to read Saint-Lambert.--MTLskyline (talk) 21:58, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Merge with Quebec City–Windsor Corridor
[edit]Should this article me merged with Quebec City–Windsor Corridor? Opinions. - Epson291 (talk) 18:12, 29 September 2014 (UTC)
- The "Quebec City–Windsor Corridor" article discusses the geography, history and all forms of transportation in the area. You have done a good job in the past of extracting information from overly large articles into readable pieces, and I feel that the railway service, like all other Via Rail routes, should stand alone. Secondarywaltz (talk) 17:11, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose: This article is about a train service, while the Quebec-Windsor article is about a megalopolis. They are completely separate topics. Reaperexpress (talk) 21:45, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. These are two related topics, but they are sufficiently different to require their own articles. T.C.Haliburtontalk nerdy to me 05:34, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. The two articles are about completely different things. Alexlur (talk) 21:48, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose: For reasons outlined above. Aloha27 talk 14:23, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose: This article has no credible sources, as with the main Windsor-Quebec City Corridor article (it's what Stats Canada called it in the 2001 census, not Quebec-Windsor, because why? 10.7 million in the Ontario section, and only 6.3 million, basically the population of the GTA, in the Quebec section, that's why) at https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Quebec_City%E2%80%93Windsor_Corridor. No credible sources, not one, not yet. Name them. —S-Ranger (talk) 23:05, 23 January 2017 (UTC)
