Phylogenetic position of Aliorami

[edit]

The phylogenetic analysis given in the supplement is not congruent with that of the paper, in the later, Aliorami is a sister taxon to "tyrannosaurinae", more derived than albertosaurinae. What to do? Mike.BRZ (talk) 03:19, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Size inconsistency

[edit]

From "Description": "Qianzhousaurus was a medium-sized tyrannosaurid estimated to have been 6.3 m (21 ft) long and 757 kg (1,669 lb) in weight.[2][6]"

The size comparison chart depicts Qianzhousaurus as at least 7 m long. The latter is based on PLASTOSPLEEN'S skeletal, which does not cite a reference for this length. --2601:206:8001:A0D0:0:0:0:C414 (talk) 18:27, 20 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nanxiong Formation

[edit]

The Nanxiong Formation concerns two different sites: the Nanxiong Formation proper, in eastern Guangdong Province, southwest of Nanxiong City, and the "Ganzhou Nanxiong Formation", in southern Jiangxi Province, around Ganzhou City. I wonder if the part of the article devoted to the "paleoenvironment" is not confusing these two sites, which are about 100 km apart. Amaot (talk) 10:10, 23 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
