Pyotr IlichovPetr Iliichev – Current name is a random and controversial transliteration, see: [1], [2], [3] and a good deal of other UN documents Яй (talk) 13:55, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose'. It's hardly a "random transliteration" – as far as I can tell, it follows the common Wikipedia practice outlined at WP:RUS, although it does not even have a guideline status. I find it much more reasonable than the proposed title, although a redirect should be created at a minimum. From which transliteration system that abominable ⟨ii⟩ even came from? • Comment Although I still oppose the move Pyotr → Petr, I would support the move Ilichov → Ilyichev as the proper transliteration of that surname in the same manner as the names pronounced Potyomkin, Khrushchov and Gorbachov are transliterated as Potemkin, Khrushchev and Gorbachev. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 01:26, 28 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
