There now seem to be separate "Purbeck" and Isle of Purbeck" articles. I would suggest merging them since they seem to be about the same place. Comments? Britmax 14:12, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, although "Isle of Purbeck" montions Poole, so maybe they're not quite the same place? Scibah 08:59, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, from its lede this article appears to be about a local government district, whilst the Isle of Purbeck describes a well-known topographical area. From the map, I suspect that the district is bigger than the isle, in which case there is some rationale for keeping both articles. In which case the IoP article should concentrate on the geography, and the district article on politics.
- But I do find a redirect for Purbeck marble to an article on a local government district truly bizarre. Which suggests the whole article sets needs some rationalisation.-- Chris j wood 20:19, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've split off Purbeck Marble and Purbeck Ball Clay as separate articles. Renamed Purbeck to Purbeck (district) to better reflect its topic, and turned Purbeck into a dab page pointing at our various *Purbeck* articles. -- Chris j wood 11:49, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
