Please bear in mind that "puissance" and "high jump" are two different competitions - and as such have different records. It is possible to jump higher in the High Jump because the fence is sloping, and therefore more "friendly", and is not as solid-looking as the wall. I have corrected this accordingly. Requested move

[edit]

The Puissance is also a name of a industrial music group "Puissance". In my opinion Puissance should be a page with this two links.

I have removed the {{move}} tag above; this is only one step in the process of requesting moves (full instructions are at WP:RM). I also think that such a request is unlikely to succeed, since the primary meaning of "puissance" is quite clearly the equestrian event, with the Swedish band being much less notable. --Stemonitis 11:36, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ALarraguibel.jpg

[edit]

Image:ALarraguibel.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

puissance record holder - info on wikipedia may be incorrect

[edit]

Please see attached link to the Washington International Horse Show

http://www.wihs.org/

The website indicates that Tony d'Ambrosio is currently the Puissance record holder. 60 Second Q&A with Tony d'Ambrosio, Indoor Puissance Record Holder Anthony d'Ambrosio and Sweet 'n' Low jumped into the record books in 1983 by clearing the Puissance at 7 feet 7-1/2 inches, a record which stands to this day.

Wikipedia states -The puissance wall has often become taller than 7 feet. The record for the puissance is held by German rider Franke Sloothaak, who in 1991 jumped 7ft 10 inches on Leonardo.

Which is correct?

Unit conversion

[edit]

"1.80 m (5 feet nine inches)"

1.8m is 5.91 feet or approx 5'11", not 5'9"

5 feet 9 inches is 1.7526m.
