[edit]Pruthvi Veerappa Ambaar won accolades for his role in Kannada movie Dia.
He's been a radio Jockey & Kannada cine actor, before acting in Tulu movies.
FYI, Tulu isn't anymore a small filmdom.
So, notability criteria is very easily satisfied.
Pl consider this opposition to delete this article.
I'm endorsing the page about pruthvi to stay in English Wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mallikarjunasj (talk • contribs) 11:32, 5 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... (your reason here)
- Pruthvi Ambaar is not just a Tulu movie actor. He has acted in 4 Kannada movies, 4 Kannada TV serials and 10 Tulu movies. This meets the requirements as per the criteria.
- Pruthvi Ambaar has enough fan followers and the new sensation meeting the requirements as per the criteria.[1], [2]
- Tulu language is spoken by 1,846,427 people as per the Census of 2011[3]. This is much more than the population of many small countries.
- Tulu movie industry is not tiny. The total number of Tulu movies crossed 100 in 2019.[4]
- The person who has marked this article for deletion saying possibly because the Tulu film industry is so small, but they don't seem to produce notable films that are widely distributed and reviewed by two or more nationally known critics. Just because that person does not know anything about Tulu does not mean Tulu movie industry is small. Probably the person is looking for articles about Tulu movie industry in English, the language understood by just 15% (or less) of Tulu speaking people. Not much is written about Tulu language, culture, movies, etc, in English. Articles like this are actually the efforts to bridge that gap.
- There are actually articles in English Wikipedia about Tulu movies, including the movie Pilibail Yamunakka in which Pruthvi Ambaar has acted.
- There is article in English Wikipedia about a Tulu movie actor Sonal Monteiro, who has less number of movies (and no TV serials) to her credit.

- This page should not be speedily deleted and should stay. There are sufficient links provided for every content.
- The reason given that Tulu industry is small etc. is frivolous. Tulu language being the official mother tongue of over 2 million people and understood by nearly 10 million considering that its the lingua franca of the the districts of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka and understood well in Kasargod in Kerala. The Tulu speaking population is spread across major metros in India like Bangalore, Mumbai. A substantial number of people in the Gulf region who have migrated from South India for work speak it. Every Tulu household is proud of its language. Most of the Tuluvas will ensure that they watch any movie, play or Yakshagaana that is released, played in their language. In view of this, Pruthvi Ambaar is a person who is recognized by a population whose numbers exceed the populations of many countries in the world.
- On another note, the idea of an encyclopedia should also be to inform people about various things across the nook and corner of this globe. An article that is neutral and portraying one of Tulu cinema's products is a great celebration and people also will get to know about a small but significant language and its vocal, achieving populace.
