Statistics

[edit]

I have updated the figures for area and density in the table in accordance with the source given. I have corrected two typos in the source. The density for the Maria Trinidad Sánchez province from 119 to 107 and the total area for the country from 48,670.83 to 48,666.83. The total area for the country differs from that usually given, but as this are the most recent figures by the National Statistics Office of the Dominican Republic I have used them as presented in the source. --VirtualDelight 19:07, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In Sept 2008, someone updated the population figures without giving a source. I do not find the data credible at all. The total is nowhere near the estimate provided by the UN for 2007. In fact, it is even more than the UN's projection for 2050. Unless a credible source is given for the data, I would like to revert back to the 2002 Census figures. --Lasunncty (talk) 01:25, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed this problem also, about 2 hours ago, and was planning on fixing it this evening. I think you should definitely revert it, please. Thanks. SamEV (talk) 01:50, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
