[edit]Does it actually make sense to include this in the article, or at least with such factual certainty? I'm fairly sure pharyngeal slits (the article for which is linked) have not been confirmed for cinctans, who have no preserved soft tissue in the fossil record and do not exhibit any features suggestive of such in the theca.
